The Center for Productive Innovation and Technology Transfer in Aquaculture (CITEacuícola) develops research, training, and technical advisory projects and programs in the areas of aquaculture and fishing, as well as development, innovation, and technology transfer projects with the aim of contributing to improving the productivity and competitiveness of companies, associations, and organizations in the aquaculture sector.
CITEacuícola UPCH contributes to addressing and solving problems that affect various links in the value chain in the production of different hydrobiological species, both on the coast and in the mountain and jungle regions. It works on the development of applied research and innovation proposals, as well as the development of R&D&I activities, in conjunction with companies, associations, and communities in the sector in different regions of the country. It offers specialized training programs and technology transfer packages tailored to the needs of each situation. It coordinates activities with various stakeholders in each area, including members of the ITP-Produce CITE network, and develops and provides information services to optimize fishing and aquaculture activities.
