School of Psychology

Psychology at Cayetano Heredia dates back to 1975, when it began as a section within the Academic Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, which at that time belonged to the Academic Program of Sciences and Philosophy. From that moment on, there has been an ongoing concern for the quality of education of psychology students, which to date has resulted in international accreditation with IAC CINDA. In 2000, the Faculty of Psychology was created, becoming the first faculty to present a Competency Model for the training of psychologists, which has been registered with INDECOPI.
