The Endocrinology and Reproduction Laboratory is a cutting-edge research center, composed of a multidisciplinary team of nationally and internationally renowned professionals. This laboratory specializes in various lines of research that address key areas of endocrine and reproductive health, with a particular focus on: - Endocrine-Reproductive Adaptation at Altitude: Studies how high-altitude environmental factors affect endocrine and reproductive functions in humans. - Biological properties of high Andean medicinal plants: Investigates the therapeutic potential of plants native to Peru. - Andrology: Focuses on the study of male reproductive health and its associated factors. - Maternal and Child Health: Analyzes the determinants of health in the critical stages of motherhood and childhood. - Reproductive Health: Develops projects aimed at promotion, prevention, and treatment in the field of sexual and reproductive health. - Environmental Health: Addresses the impacts of environmental factors on human health, especially in relation to reproduction and general well-being. In addition, the laboratory plays a crucial role as a collaborative research training center, especially in the fields of reproductive and environmental health. It has been a training ground for numerous undergraduate and graduate students, who have developed their theses in this environment.
