The Biomedical Engineering Laboratory (LIBME) researches and develops technological solutions in the medical field at the interface of engineering, physics, chemistry, materials science, and biological sciences. The priority lines of research are medical signals and images, tissue engineering, biomaterials, biomechatronics and robotics for rehabilitation and assistance, and clinical engineering. LIBME stimulates and supports the advancement of science and technology for education, research, and services to meet unmet needs in Peru's health sector.
