The Palynology and Paleobotany Laboratory conducts paleobotanical and paleoclimatic studies based on the analysis of micro-remains (pollen, phytoliths, and starches) and macro-remains. These studies are applied in archaeological projects for the reconstruction of natural environments and crops of the past, using sediments, artifacts (ceramic and lithic), and coprolites.
