The Cell Biology and Virology Unit conducts research on medicinal plants as sources of new drugs. The activities currently being studied are as follows: antitumor activity, antibacterial activity, antidiarrheal activity, and mental illnesses. The importance of this unit lies in the possibility of discovering new drugs based on traditional medicine, thereby adding value to our natural resources.
