Organization profile

The Community Environmental Health Management Unit provides the foundations for environmental management and health. It researches decontamination and prevention in the most alternate water flows in the liquid and solid waste treatment system, as well as methods for implementing clean technologies to reduce environmental impacts. It educates and guides the construction of friendly and aesthetic urban environments: urban ecology, the city for living with respect, and urban environmental control standards. Education programs are designed to raise awareness, intervene, and educate in science and technology. It seeks to understand the impact of water, air, and soil pollution on community health in order to contribute to the design and implementation of health prevention plans and programs. It attempts to understand the impact of the use of chemicals (pesticides, herbicides, germicides, etc.) on the environment. It identifies occupational risk factors and implements biosafety standards.
