InnovaLab - Health Innovation Laboratory is a multidisciplinary space focused on innovative and accessible technologies to improve people’s health. It promotes the use of open technologies and data with the aim of reducing barriers to implementation and ensuring reproducibility, while increasing the impact and accessibility of clear information on innovation initiatives.
Among its main lines of research are the development of diagnostic and detection systems, the development of tools for detecting environmental parameters using drones and sensors, data science and big data applied to tropical diseases, geospatial analysis of mobility patterns, and the epidemiology of climate change. It also promotes the translation of scientific evidence into policy briefs aimed at strengthening public health decision-making and the development of evidence-based strategies for political, academic, media, and community advocacy.
Its goal is to generate innovative proposals within a framework of experimentation, research, and dissemination of accessible methodologies and tools that seek to generate solutions in the health sector in collaboration with society to support sound decision-making.
