The Cardiac Surgery Research Unit conducts observational, descriptive, or analytical studies of prospective and retrospective longitudinal cohorts and clinical case reports on topics related to cardiothoracic, cardiovascular, or purely cardiac surgery, which are presented at Latin American, European, and North American conferences. In our country, research in cardiac surgery is not very developed, so our main objective is to expand and update information on this topic through research in the Peruvian population. In this way, we can cover a broader spectrum, increase scientific knowledge, and at the same time promote research at the undergraduate level.
