Organization profile
The Emerging Diseases and Climate Change Research Unit studies the epidemiology of emerging diseases and, related to this, the impact of climate change and associated events on human development. Early detection of emerging diseases and the study of their epidemiology allow for the implementation of more effective prevention and control strategies targeting the most vulnerable groups. This also advances scientific knowledge and preparedness to face future epidemics.
