Organization profile

The Parasitology Unit began its work thanks to the drive and determination of Dr. Hugo Lumbreras, who considered it essential to have the basic elements in place to tackle the highly prevalent parasitic diseases in many cities across the country. Since its inception, the purpose has been to innovate in diagnostic and research procedures, with the contribution of prestigious parasitologists who laid the foundations for persevering research, dedication to service, and ethics, which are necessary in an environment of constant interaction with patients considered as human beings.
