The Comprehensive Health Unit for Adolescents and Young People (USIAJ) produces and disseminates knowledge about the health of adolescents and young people to contribute to health promotion and prevention in schools, health and protection services, and the community from gender, generational, and rights-based approaches. It is involved in sex education, health promotion programs, prevention, and services. USIAJ was created in 2004 because adolescence is a second window of opportunity in the course of life; therefore, it is important to conduct research that provides information for improving health, education, and protection interventions and services aimed at the adolescent population, promoting their positive development.
