I am a physician graduated from the Peruvian University Cayetano Heredia (UPCH), and with an MPH in Epidemiology from the University of Washington at Seattle. I have worked for the past 15 years planning and organizing clinical trials, especially in the field of HIV / AIDS, starting from study physician, study coordinator, co-investigator and prinicipal investigator in the areas of HIV prevention, treatment and vaccines. In 2002 I worked for the NIAID scientific networks in studies such as A5175, A5221, A5227 and A5217. In addition, I have contributed to the research agenda of the AACTG as member of different committees, subcommittees and working groups, highlighting my participation in the evaluation subcommittee of sites and the Optimization of Co-Infection and Co-Morbidity Management (Opman) Scientific Committee. In 2007, I was the Principal Investigator iPrEx study at the Impact San Miguel site; on 2012, I leaded the team for the FDA audit to the iPrEx at my site. I have co-authored several papers related to the investigation I participated. I have played different roles for the institution. Among my skills I would like to emphasize my qualities of leadership, organizational skills, systematization of activities and proper management of budgets. I am currently CEO of INMENSA. As a result of my duties in clinical trials and as CEO of INMENSA, I am fully trained in planning, implementation and monitoring of clinical trials, and administrative issues related to budget management, development of indicators, personnel management and strategic analysis. I am also very aware of the procedures, and regulations related to clinical trials and scientific research in general, for either the National Institute of Health (NIH) and international regulatory bodies regulations. I have great leadership skills and teamwork, problem-solving ability and interaction with others in the area in which I work.
