Biologist with a Master’s and Ph.D. in Science, specializing in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, from Cayetano Heredia University (UPCH), and postdoctoral training at the University of Massachusetts (UMass) and Yale University. Professor and researcher at the Faculty of Science and Engineering at UPCH. Experience in immunology and the molecular and cellular biology of parasites (Leishmania and Plasmodium). Trained in Plasmodium genetics (CDC, USA), basic immunology (University of California, San Diego), and malaria immunology as a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Massachusetts. This work integrates parasite biology, host immune responses, and molecular methodologies to advance the understanding of infectious diseases and inform control and elimination strategies.
