Biologist, PhD in Disease Control from Johns Hopkins University, MSc. Biochemistry from Cayetano Heredia Peruvian University, and BSc. Biochemistry from Ricardo Palma University. Currently serves as Coordinator of the Bioinformatics and Molecular Biology Unit - Bioinformatics Group. She has developed projects approved by CONCYTEC, such as: Diagnosis of pulmonary and pleural tuberculosis using PCR in feces and pleural fluid, Development of software for the diagnosis of intestinal parasites and an expert WEB system, among others. The research group she leads together with PhD Mirko Zimic focuses on understanding the mechanism of resistance to Pyrazinamide in Mycobacterium tuberculosis.
