Abstract

In vivo antimalarial drug efficacy studies of uncomplicated Plasmodiumfalciparum malaria at an isolated site in the Amazon basin of Peru bordering Brazil and Colombia showed >50% RII/RIII resistance to sulfadoxine-pyrimethamine but no evidence of resistance to mefloquine.
