Abstract

Abstract – We analyzed cytokines pre-and-post treatment among syphilis patients to assess cure after treatment. HIV-status was associated with changes in Eotaxin and IL1RA levels. We found no relationship between cytokine levels and syphilis stage. Other molecules need to be assessed as potential early markers of treatment response.
